A beautiful, etched red clay smoke pot contains a lizard on the focal point.  The lizard symbolizes patience and wisdom for this reptile lives in a very harsh environment and knows where to find water and when to seek shade from the glaring desert sun.   Smoke pots were used to cleanse the area and the people of evil spirits.
