This amazing totem is handcarved and painted by a very talented Lakota artist, Bear Romera.  The Eagle represents the messenger between Great Spirit and People.  Beneath him is a Warrior and a Turtle.  The Warrior is for strength and guidance, the Turtle represeants longevity, tenacity, self reliance, and assures rainfall.  The Turtle is the oldest symbol of Mother Nature and carries our prayers to her.
